We promote and collaborate on projects to contribute to economic and social development with a special focus on supply security and decarbonisation, both from the point of view of knowledge dissemination and research and implementation of initiatives to contribute to the energy transition.

Through alliances with other entities, we also participate in social impact projects in different areas such as education, child and youth protection, health and culture. 

These contributions take the form of sponsorships, patronage, donations and collaborations, which amounted to 1.23 million euros in 2024.

Enagás is a member of Grupo LBG España, which works with the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) methodology, a global benchmark for the management, measurement and reporting of activities that companies carry out for the benefit of society and the environment. A further step in the company’s commitment to best practices in social investment.

• We contribute to the socioeconomic development and welfare of the communities where it operates through various projects. For example, Enagás supported ACCEM in Brihuega to enhance accessibility for people with dependencies and to promote their personal autonomy in rural areas.
• We collaborated with cultural and educational institutions such as the Princess of Girona Foundation, Carlos III University, and Lumbier Municipal School of Music, promoting the educational development of young people and children.  
• We support entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives, such as South Summit or the Isaac Peral Foundation; through this, Enagás supports the advancement of new technologies, promoting job creation, the development of new companies and better competitiveness in key sectors such as energy, technology and innovation.
• We are involve in initiatives in the field of Digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence and Cibersecurity such as IndesIA or Fundación ESYS, among others.
• We promote forums and debates on sustainability and green hydrogen to share progress on this crucial carrier for decarbonisation and energy security in Spain and Europe.  
• In 2024, Enagás responded to the emergency caused by the cut-off low storm in Valencia by collaborating with the Red Cross, offering its professionals the opportunity to make voluntary contributions to support rescue and recovery efforts.
• Through the ‘Euro Solidario’ (‘Solidarity Euro’) initiative, which allows them to make micro-donations from their salaries for social projects., 8,423 euros were donated in 2024 (8,832 euros in 2023) to the Children’s Villages and ANAR (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk) Foundations. Some of our professionals have also donated the money for the traditional Christmas hampers to the Theodora Foundation, reaching a total of 3,900 euros (2,313 euros in 2023).
